Gps Garmin Why Different Color Roads?

I have a Garmin 260w and can not seem to figure out what the different color of roads mean.

The colors represent how busy the roads are mainly, like highways and main roads. Highways are red and main roads are orange on mine anyway

Highways, streets, etc, you need to read the owners manual, you can change the colors to what you like.

purple – your route
