Garmins in my opinion are the best GPS systems. They have faster and better route calculations than TomTom and Magellan however they are slightly more expensive for the same level unit. But it is worth the extra money.
I recently bought a Nuvi 205. The models that end in “5″ are newer models. For instance the Nuvi 205 is the newer Nuvi 200 and the Nuvi 255 is the newer Nuvi 250.
I love my 205 so you will be satisfied with your Nuvi 255 since it would be the same thing but with more features. Since the “5″ models are newer there processor is faster meaning they load the routes faster and they connect to a satellite faster(my bro just got a Nuvi 200 and we compared them), Another cool feature that is on the “5″ models are is that it tells you the speed limit on the street you are on.
The Nuvi 255 has text to speech so it will actually say aloud the street names.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015F0…
