Why Wont My Garmin Nuvi 200w Base Stick On My Dashboard ?

Hi i just bought a brand new Garmin Nuvi 200W and tried it out for the first time and everything went well.
I try it a second time and something happed to the stickey tape on the bottom of the dash board holder for the GPS because it wont stick at all now. It looks like a small circle of sticky tape on the base and after i used the GPS the first time i replaced the small circular cover that is supposed to protect the stick surface…….i removed the protective cover the 2′nd time i used the GPS base and it wont stick to the dashboard at all.
Does anyone know what i may have done wrong?

Programing My Garmin Nuvi 200w For A Trip?

Hi i just bought a Garmin Nuvi 200W and programed itfor afew short trips to test it out. The GPS worked fine on ome trip but then i programed a second trip and it got me to my destination allright but i was on some back roads that i did’nt want to be on.
My question is when i begin programing what do i select to prevent my ending up on old back roads instead of the main highways ?
I have heard to program the unitfor the fastest way with avoidences but how can i get the avoidences selection to show so i can select it?

I just got a Garmin Nuvi 200 W and i was wondering, how do i update this thing? Its kind of old, it dosnt have our high school on there, it says the middle school is down the road which got tore down almost 3 years ago, and theres just a lot it dosnt have.. When i got it at walmart there was this disk it said 2009 map update for garmin and it was 70 dollars, do i have to spend 70 dollars to update it?? Or can i do it online for free?? if so how?

I have been told there is a Garmin downloadable/buyable voice that will insult you as you drive…where can I get this or the other Garmin Voices?

It looks like your only option would be to look into getting the full City Navigator NT North America. You will may be able to find a way to download it for use in the mapsource program (not legal), but as it requires unlock codes that are unique to your GPS unit, I doubt that you will be able to find a downloadable version that you can transfer to your GPS.
Your best bet would be to contact Garmin Support and they can give you the legal options that your 200w would support.
Navigon 5100 Or Garmin Nuvi 200w?

I was researching deals on these two GPS’s and found (thanks to www.thebargainspy.com) I can get the Garmin Nuvi 200W for about $213 after tax or the Navigon 5100 for $250 and this comes with lifetime traffic. Which one is a better deal? Opinions?
Garmin Nuvi 200w Map Update Question?

I’ve recently purchased a Garmin Nuvi 200W GPS system and I’ve read that the preloaded maps arent the most up to date. I’ve also heard that there are map updates you can purchase from Garmin, but without my device (its still being shipped to me) the site wont let me search through the available updates.
Does anyone have a Garmin 200W and have purchased the map upgrades? Which one did you buy?
