Charge it using the accompanying wall charger. You can start it up while its charging; most manufaturers suggest giving it a full charge before start up; its advisable to to do so because this ensures the batter has a long life.
If you are too eager to start it up – go ahead… but do give it one full good 5 to 6 hour charge the first time.
Uk Maps Or Software For Garmin C550 Gps?

I have a GARMIN C550 GPS programed for the US, but I’m going to the UK Saturday and would like to use my gps to navigate through london and the English countryside. Anyone familiar with where to find and how to program a uk map onto my gps? I went to the garmin website but can’t find what I’m looking for. I don’t have the luxury of ordering a cd and waiting for it to arrive as I’m flying out Saturday. I thought I could plug the gps into my computer and download maps? it came with a usb cord but so I’m assuming this is possible. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

I have a 2001 Ford Excursion and I travel a bit. I take my kids snowboarding and to travel lacrosse tournments occassionally. I want a good GPS that will take me anywhere. Please give me reason why one is better and if you know one that is better please tell me and why it is.
